These are just some of the sophisticated tools that hackers are using to target your computer systems – and there are thousands of variations of them coming out every day. One in four small businesses will suffer a cyber attack this year and many of them will never recover from the resulting financial and reputational loss. And perhaps most worrying, most of them will have no idea that their systems have been compromised until it’s too late!

Protecting your business requires up-to-date antivirus software, prompt installation of software updates, reliable backups and a sophisticated firewall combined with strict internal policies and regular staff training.

This is no easy task. It’s time-consuming and it requires a level of expertise that most small businesses just don’t have.

The good news is that you can outsource all of this to Techquity and it will cost a lot less than you might expect:

  • From just $5 per workstation per month we will provide cutting edge antivirus software and ensure it is running and up to date. This will assist in preventing unsafe attachments getting to your users and restrict their access to non-secure websites. We can also perform regular software patching on your computers including not just the operating system but other vulnerable software including web browsers, Microsoft Office, Java, Adobe and most of the common applications and utilities. We will receive alerts when viruses are detected or other problems occur and we’ll be able to connect to your computers electronically to investigate them.
  • We can install and maintain a FortiGate next-generation firewall for just $99 per month. This will protect your network from external threats and enable you to limit staff access to dangerous or time-wasting web sites. It will protect against known exploits, malware and malicious websites using continuously updated threat intelligence provided by FortiGuard Labs Security Services. It will detect unknown attacks using dynamic analysis and automatically mitigate targeted attacks. It can also integrate with FortiSwitches and the FortiClient antivirus software to quickly lockdown compromised devices, preventing them from infecting other computers on your network.
  • Our cloud backup service will transfer encrypted copies of your data to a secure Australian datacentre and this is replicated to other facilities for additional safety. Files can be restored from any day up to 30 days prior or, for a small additional fee, you will be able to go back much further. Workstation backup starts at $12.50 for 100GB of data and server backup starts at $50 for 500GB.
  • We can prepare a comprehensive IT security policy for your business and provide staff with the training they need to recognise potential threats and follow safe security protocols. This will be tailored to meet your precise needs and is charged on an hourly basis.
